DAY 01: 10 OCT Arrival in Cape Town, South Africa
- Welcome to Cape Town, South Africa. On arrival you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
- Cape Town: Scenically beautiful, Cape Town is a compelling mix of trendy modern and old-world elegance. Glamorous hotels, world-class dining and stunning vistas merge seamlessly with dynamic student suburbs and vibrant nightlife. Malay and African heritage is evident in the cuisine, traditions, and entertainment while the architecture reveals a strong Dutch, German and English flavor, and style. Contemporary art is proudly displayed in a variety of galleries and modern boutique hotels, and wine bars and brandy tasting lounges will appeal to the fashionable set. For the well-heeled the finest in opera, ballet, drama, and music can be appreciated in style. Perhaps wander around the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, a working harbor and hub of entertainment and shopping opportunities.

DAY 02: 11 OCT Cape Town – City and Table Mountain Tour
- This morning, after breakfast you are met by a guide for a city tour and Table Mountain tour. Depart the hotel city for the Lower Cableway Station to board the revolving cable car (own account) for a 5-minute ride to the top of Table Mountain. 1036 meters above sea level, it affords bird’s-eye views of both city and Peninsula as you walk its summit (weather permitting). Later, you will be taken on an orientation tour of the city, which includes a visit to the Bo-Kaap well-known for its brightly colored homes and cobbled stone street.
- Later in the afternoon, you will attend the seminar.
- In the evening enjoy the welcome cocktail party, followed by Welcome dinner

DAY 03: 12 OCT Cape Town- Full Day Tour of Peninsula
- After breakfast at the hotel and you are met by your guide and driver for the Full Day Peninsula Tour. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Camps Bay and Hout Bay to Cape Point. This is where, by tradition, Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. We will then take a short drive along the coast to Simon’s Town, a naval village where we will enjoy a seafood lunch at Two Oceans Restaurant. After lunch proceed to Boulder’s Beach home to an African Penguin colony. From just two breeding pairs in 1982, the penguin colony has grown to about 3000 in recent years. Continue to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a relaxing walkabout to learn more about the flora of the city and country.

DAY 04: 13 OCT Robben Island Tour
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Then, it is an easy walk to the Nelson Mandela Gateway where you board the ferry to Robben Island. On arrival you are met and transferred by bus for a tour of the island offering spectacular views of the city of Cape Town and Table Mountain. The Island was a training and defense station in World War 2, and has also served as a place of banishment, isolation, and imprisonment, which became world famous as the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years.
- Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum which acts as a focal point of South African heritage. It runs educational programs for schools and facilitates tourism development – a poignant reminder of the price paid for freedom. You will have the opportunity to learn about the island’s history and view the prison where Nelson Mandela spent a large part of his life. After a most interesting time of gleaning ‘behind the scenes’ history, the ferry takes you back to Cape Town.
- The rest of the afternoon will be spent on your own leisure.

DAY 05: 14 OCT Cape Town – Winelands Tour
- After breakfast depart Cape Town and the short drive to the Cape Winelands region. Today we will visit Franschhoek. Founded in 1688 by French Huguenots this scenic town is located in a fertile valley between the mountains. A visit to the Huguenot Monument followed by a walkabout in the town to enjoy the rich Cape Dutch Style Architecture. (1 Tasting + walk around Franschhoek)
- Then it is a short drive to Boschendal Wine Estate for a cellar tour and wine tasting. A picnic lunch under the trees to relax and enjoy more wine.
- From Boschendal we make our way to Stellenbosch, the second-oldest city in South Africa and home to some beautiful Cape-Dutch style architecture. Check in at the hotel.

DAY 06: 15 OCT Stellenbosch City Tour
- Morning Seminar – 4 hours
- After the morning seminar we set out to visit the town of Stellenbosch, the center of the wine industry. A walkabout in the town to view the Cape Dutch Style Architecture before heading off to a local wine estate for lunch and a wine tasting experience. (1 x Wine tasting + lunch at Blaauwklippen)
- Stellenbosch: The city is a university town in South Africa’s Western Cape province. It’s surrounded by the vineyards of the Cape Winelands and the mountainous nature reserves of Jonkershoek and Simonsberg. The town’s oak-shaded streets are lined with cafes, boutiques, and art galleries. Cape Dutch architecture gives a sense of South Africa’s Dutch colonial history, as do the Village Museum’s period houses and gardens.
- Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for an evening at leisure.

- Meals: Breakfast at Hotel & Lunch at Blaauwklippen Wine Estate
DAY 07: 16 OCT Stellenbosch to Cape Town drive and Cape Town to Johannesburg – Flight
- Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure.
- Johannesburg: Johannesburg is a real African city whose resilience shines through in the vibrant culture and creativity of its people. It’s the biggest city and capital of Gauteng province began as a 19th-century gold-mining settlement. Its sprawling Soweto township was once home to Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. Johannesburg is home to beautiful skyscrapers, shopping centers and restaurants.
- In the afternoon you will attend the seminar.

DAY 08: 17 OCT Johannesburg: Full Day City Tour
- After breakfast we’ll explore the Apartheid Museum, the first of its kind illustrating the rise and fall of a racially prejudiced system. It’s a story of triumph of the human spirit over adversity.
- Lunch will be enjoyed at the rustic and charming Chez Alina in Soweto and following this we will visit a nursery school to meet and spend a bit of time with the local children!
- Then we visited Soweto. Soweto is a “city within a city”. It is the most populous black urban area in the country and the most metropolitan town in South Africa. Rich with the history of the struggle against apartheid, Soweto is the melting pot of South African urban culture – setting trends in politics, fashion, music, dance, and language. Drive past the Hector Pieterson Memorial and see the homes of Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Tutu, and Winnie Mandela.
- Return to the hotel. Evening at leisure.

DAY 9: 18 OCT Johannesburg – Private Game Lodge Flight
- After breakfast check out of the hotel and you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight to Hoedspruit in the Northern Kruger National Park. On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport a driver from Kapama Private Game Reserve will meet you and transfer you to the lodge in 4 x 4 vehicles and after you will check in and enjoy lunch. Relax and get ready for your afternoon game drive.
- Kapama is a private game Reserve located on the border of the Kruger National Park. You have some free time to explore the camp or relax at the pool prior to your first game drive. In the late afternoon, depart on your first game drive. In Land Rovers, you will set off into the bush on an exciting safari accompanied by a professional game ranger. At sunset, your rangers will stop off in the bush, where you will have a chance to soak up the amazing silence and watch the sun sink into the dusty horizon. Continue with the game drive after dark, using a powerful spotlight to point out nocturnal wildlife.
- The chances are excellent that you will encounter lions, leopards, elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, and many other species of game in their natural habitat. The vehicles go off the road, when necessary, to afford you the best possible view. Return to the camp where you will have a chance to freshen up prior to having dinner.

DAY 10: 19 OCT Private Game Lodge
- Morning and Afternoon game drives are the order of the day. Game drives are undertaken in open 4 x 4 vehicles with a game ranger and tracker. During your game drives you may get to see a variety of animals and perhaps the Big Five – lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo. There is also a wide variety of antelope and bird species. Afternoon game drives continue into the night when viewing is done by spotlight to view the nocturnal animals. The safari continues into the dark when spotlights are used to follow the game. As most of the predators are nocturnal, this is the best time for viewing especially as most hunting occurs at night.

DAY 11: 20 OCT Private Game Lodge
- Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Kapama Reserve. If you are lucky, the big cats will still be around after their night of hunting. This is the Big 5 country (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo) all of which are possible to see during a two-day safari in the Modi Game Reserve. There are also many other species to be seen, large and small, as well as fascinating plants and colorful birds. During the rest of the day, you are likely to see wildlife like nyala antelope and vervet monkeys around the lodges.
- The safari continues into the dark when spotlights are used to follow the game. As most of the predators are nocturnal, this is the best time for viewing especially as most hunting occurs at night. Return to the camp where you will have a chance to freshen up prior to having dinner.

DAY 12: 21 OCT Private Game Lodge/ Johannesburg – Flight
- A final early morning game drive followed by breakfast. It’s time to say your fond farewell as you make your way back to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg and connection home. We hope you’ve had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Southern Africa!
