SUE RUFF, B.A. LLB
Director of Marketing and Creative Content
Sue was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended the University of Manitoba where she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Law degree and graduated in 1997. Growing up with parents in the airline industry and while working to earn her way through her degrees she developed a keen interest in all things aviation and an unbridled love for travel. During law school she worked in sales and marketing for Jet Vacations where she was a top sales agent and went on to work for Canada 3000 airlines upon graduation from law school. Sue continued her personal interest in aviation and obtained her private pilot’s license in 2001.
Upon leaving the airline industry Sue continued her passion for learning about diverse cultures and travel and joined the sales and marketing team at the Worlds Largest Multi-Cultural Festival – Folklorama. During this time she helped lead the team to successfully achieve over 400,000 yearly visits while celebrating diversity and promoting cultural understanding.
Sue also owned a successful event planning and promotional company where she honed her skills to organize large sale events and provide unique promotional items to clients. This business led her to a sales role at Pfizer Consumer Health care and her connection to the dental industry. Quickly knowing that dental was an area she was passionate about she joined the Zimmer Dental team in 2007 where she immediately connected with Dr. Jack Lipkin and Dr. Marshall Hoffer. During her 8 years at Zimmer dental she approached dental sales with a consultative and educational approach and from this numerous unique, successful, fun and informative education seminars were coordinated and administered.
Sue’s varied career path in travel, dental, event planning and marketing and the skill set attained has converged with the opportunity to work with Kennedy Professional Educational Seminars.
KEYLYN FILEWICH, B.Sc. MBM
Social Media Manager
Keylyn is a native of Winnipeg, where she spent her youth. She then attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and competing as a student-athlete on the Women’s basketball team. During Keylyn’s time as a student-athlete, her love for social media and community engagement drove her to look for opportunities to develop in this field. She has been an invaluable asset to university teams, contributing to their social media and community engagement strategies. She collaborated with the University’s media team to develop and implement her teams social media campaigns that have driven fan engagement and attendance to new heights.
Keylyn’s passion for social media, brand identity and digital strategy, motivated her to change her course and look for graduate options in this field. Keylyn graduated with her Bachelor of Science in 2021 and then transferred to the University of Winnipeg to become a graduate student, completing her Master’s in Business Management in 2022. Now with a Master’s and her own self-educated knowledge, she combines academic excellence with hands-on experience in the realm of digital communications.
Keylyn isn’t just a digital strategist; she is also a professional athlete playing in Germany who has been able to travel the world playing basketball. She is passionate about traveling and takes advantage of unique experiences that her current career is able to offer her. Just like at Kennedy Seminars, she believes it’s important to make use of unique opportunities that are in your reach and explore what this amazing world has to offer.
Keylyn’s journey has only just started, but her enthusiasm for travel, educational background and interest in social media have all pointed her to Kennedy Seminars.
