TOPIC
Current Controversies in Implant Dentistry
Course Overview:
Dental Implantology has developed dramatically in the past decade. The introduction of CBCT, 3D technologies, minimally invasive surgery, bio-active materials, implant designs and so on. Despite the dramatic developments many issues around basic procedures and how to achieve consistent and predictable outcomes remain subject to debate. So much so that entire textbooks have been written on controversies. This lecture series will identify several of the issues and try to shed light on the do’s and dont’s and provide clinical guidance using the scientific literature and clinical example.
Benefits of attending:
1. Identify current controversies in implant dentistry
2. Know when and how to cement an implant restoration vs screw retention.
3. Know when to deliver immediate load restorations.
4. Learn how to plan for ‘pink’ restorative materials.
