Dr. Jack Lipkin graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BSc. In 1970, and D.M.D. in 1974. After three years of general practice, he received his certificate in Fixed Prosthodontics from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1979. He has taught in the Dr. Gerald Niznick School of Dentistry, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba for 43 years. Currently, he is a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Graduate Prosthodontic program at the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Lipkin is past President of the Winnipeg Dental Society, and has served on many boards of the Manitoba Dental Association. He is a member of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada; Canadian Dental Association; Chicago Dental Society ; Academy of Osseointegration; and has served on the board and is past President of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP).
In 2023, Dr. Lipkin was awarded the George H. Moulton Outstanding Achievement Award, the highest award presented by the AAFP in recognition of outstanding achievements in the art and science of fixed prosthodontics.
He has lectured nationally and internationally on Prosthodontics, and is a Fellow of both the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Lipkin is in full time private practice, limited to Prosthodontics, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Dr. Lipkin and his wife Debbie, live in Winnipeg, and are the proud parents and grandparents of two grown daughters, son-in-law, and three grandchildren.
