Topic: Occlusal Concepts for Everyday Practice, Implant Supported Restoration of Edentulous Arch
Learning Objectives:
-Attendees should acquire clinically useful information on how to design & manage occlusion in restorative & prosthetic treatment
-Attendees should acquire clinically relevant information on the evaluation, diagnosis, & treatment of the edentulous &/or failing dental arch.
2. Speaker: Dr. Dan Lavitt, DDS, Endodontist
Topic: Endodontics
Lecture 1: Endodontic diagnosis, What in the world are we looking at and what do we do about it? Presentation and Plan.Objectives: Participants should be able to identify & differentiate between endodontic & non endodontic causes of pain. Assess situation & determine a plan of action to resolve patients problem. Lecture will address common causes pain of endodontic origin, as well as other problems related to pulpal & periradicular tissues. Causes for persistent post op complications & pain will also be discussed.
Lecture 2: Restoration of Endodontically Treated Teeth: Restoration for the Long Haul.
Attendees should be able to recognize the possible complications involved in restoring Endodontically treated teeth & possible compromises to face & overcome. Theory & techniques will be presented to help dentist in restoring Endodontically treated teeth. Predictable techniques to ensure long-term success.
Lecture 3: Coronal Microleakage & Why is My Root Canal Failing? Hedging our bets for predictable outcome
Attendees should be able to asses & recognize importance of properly restoring endodontically treated teeth which will help prevent ingress of contaminants into root canal system. The complicated nature of endodontic environment will be discussed addressing both reasons for success & causes for failure.
The presentation will include reasons for Endodontic success & failure & ways in which the likelihood of successful long-term outcomes is outlined.
3. Speaker: Dr. Jurgen Vander Velden
Topic: ” Tips, tricks and hacks – Dental Potpourri for the Everyday Dentist”
Drawing on 28 years of full time clinical dental experience as a solo general practitioner, this lecture will introduce simple real world solutions to an eclectic range of clinical and practice management challenges.
