Dr. Burgoyne received his DDS from the University of Western Ontario in 1984. After 2 years of teaching, research and private practice he entered the graduate program in Periodontal-Prosthetics at the University of Washington in Seattle. In 1989, he completed a Master of Science in Dentistry and his Certificate in Prosthodontics. He returned to a half-time teaching position and private practice in London, Ontario in 1989. Since 1991 he has been in full time private practice in Kitchener, Ontario specializing in full mouth rehabilitation. He has been involved in the restoration of implants since 1987 and surgical placement of dental implants since 1991. He has lectured extensively on aesthetics, prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Canada and internationally. Dr. Burgoyne is a member of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, the American College of Prosthodontists, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is one of a small number of international specialists who have been invited to join the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the International Team for Oral Implantolgy and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Burgoyne is a past-president of the Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, a former Assistant Professor at the University of Western Ontario, a former Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington and is currently the Chairman for the Canadian Section of ITI. He is the author of several scientific papers, he has contributed to two book chapters and has given over 200 continuing dental education seminars.
