Course Clinician: Tom Mara DDS, MSc, FRCD,

Dr. Tom Mara graduated with a DDS in 1977 from the University of Western Ontario School of Dentistry. He was in General Practice in London Ontario until 1988 when he entered the specialty program in Oral Pathology/ Oral Medicine at UWO. He completed the program in 1991 and has been affiliated with Schulich Dentistry since 1992. During this time he was also course director for the Ontario Dental Nurses & Assistants Association expanded duty dental assistant program. He is currently the Chairman of the Division of Oral Medicine/Oral Radiology at the Schulich Dentistry and course director for the first, third and fourth year Oral Medicine courses. He has lectured widely on topics related to infection control, record keeping, oral medicine and oral pathology. He is a member of the AAOMP, CAOMP, CDA and a Fellow of the RCDC in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine.
