Dr. Marshall obtained his dental degree from the University of Manitoba in 1972. In 1978 Dr. Hoffer completed his training in Fixed Prosthodontics at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and returned to Winnipeg to begin his private practice limited to Prosthodontics and adult restorative dentistry.

Dr. Hoffer has taught part time at the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Dentistry, has published articles in the Journal of the Canadian Dental Assocation, the International Journal of Oral Rehabilitation and Family Health magazine, and has lectured internationally. He is a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, the Manitoba Dental Assocation, Canadian Dental Association, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
